Fabian is a DevOps Engineer in Swisscom's agile Hybrid Integration Provider tribe which offers digital products by exposing APIs to internal and external partners. Being involved in all parts from software development to its delivery is what Fabian highly values in his work. The journey towards a Microservice-Based Architecture on the Cloud Foundry Platform enabled him to apply his experience in cloud computing and discover the passion for software development. He is also acting as Cloud Ambassador, supporting various teams to contribute to the further success of Swisscom’s Cloud Story.

Previously Fabian worked for an IT service provider in the banking sector. This role inspired his enthusiasm for the automation of complex processes in sensitive and highly-available environments.

Fabian holds a Master's degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Duisburg-Essen. His final thesis dealt with cloud computing and focused in particular on the concept and implementation of 'Infrastructure as Code'.  Moreover, Fabian has acquired extensive knowledge of the Cloud Foundry platform in his current role at Swisscom.
